＞中身が空でお客さんの言いなりというのが正しいとは思わない。

全くその通りなんですが、残念ながらユーザの間違った認識でこのようなビジネススタイルになってしまっていると思います。

そもそもパッケージと言うのは完成されたシステムソリューションですから、導入企業はパッケージに合わせて業務を変更すべきですが、どこも「うちは特殊だからなぁ・・・」などと言って、業務を少しでも変えようなどという発想がありません。業務に合うようカスタマイズしてくれとなります。

これは導入の決定者が業務の責任者ではないというのが大きな原因だと思います。少しでも業務が変わろうものなら社内から反発食らうのは目に見えてますから。だから本当はトップ決断で導入と同時に業務も変更するとすればいいんですが、そこまでできる経営者もいませんからねぇ。

勉強不足/常識知らずなのですが、、そういう訳でどうやって企業の要求に答えているのだろうと疑問でした。
Ａ社でもＢ社でもＣ社でも運用できるものを作るなんて凄いって思っていました on_

パッケージ＝完成品というのはリテール向け。例えば、MS-Officeとか駅すぱあとなんかですね。私が言っているのは業務系パッケージのことでして、中にはSAPとかOBICのような有名なのもありますが、ほとんどはその筋のみぞ知るような価格も最低数百万円という感じのやつを指してます。

業務用パッケージで、業務に合うようにカスタマイズするのですね。かなりの専門知識が必要みたいですね。
「勘定奉行」とかは業務用なのかなぁ?

すいません。出遅れました。

その昔、ＥＲＰパッケージ(総合基幹教務パッケージ)がアメリカで大流行して
その後にくっついて日本でも出回ってましたね。
（あ、今でもか。。。）

調べてみると、日本は統計的にパッケージ導入率が
低いらしいです。
実際、現場でも、青蛙大王さんの言うとおり『うちはちょっと特殊だから』という言葉で大幅なカスタマイズを余儀なくされます。

私見ですが、業務システムのパッケージというのはやはりお客さんの業務にぴったりフィットしていないと売れないというのは事実だと思います。
但し、そこにコアとなるソリューションのない共通関数だけのパッケージというのが存在しているのは問題だし、それではいけないと思います。

日本という土壌は、変化(そこから生まれる一時的な混乱)を嫌いますから、その辺の影響を最小にする配慮も必要なのが難しいところです。

ちなみに、勘定奉行などは、売り切りものだと思いますよ。
ウチの会社にもそういった商品もあります。
ある意味、ライバル会社ですか（ｗ

あー、それのバージョンアップ計画も立てなければ。。。
私、まだ試用期間なんですが。。。（ｗ

ここが難しいところなんですけど、私的には、客先業務ヘのフィッティングという感じが本当だろうと思っています。
服で例えると、特殊な体型の場合、その分お金がかかるし、もし、ダイエットとか、太るとかして体を変化させることができるならそれで良しと言うところでしょうか。

お客さんの肥大化した体をスマートにすると言うのも、実はSEの重要な役目なんじゃないかと思っています。

そのままでジャンクフードを食べ続けてOKですよ!服を合わせますから!というSEはあまりいいSEとは思いません。
その人(会社)が本当に良くなるように提案するのが大事なんだと思います。
