XOOPSという存在

世の中にMTとか、WikiクローンとかXOOPSとかが出てきて久しい。
一昔前まで、システム屋がやっていたことをパワーユーザレベルが簡単に出来るようになって来ている。
それぞれのツールって、専門分野というか、用途が微妙に異なる訳だけど、XOOPSというのは少し特殊な存在に感じる。
本来はコミュニケーションポータルの構築ということなんだろうけど、実際世の中のサイトでは色々な使われ方をしている。
BlogやWikiやチャットやBBSなど既存の考え方を包含して、プラットフォームとして働くという方向性が日増しに強くなって来ている気がするのは私だけではないだろう。
これからXOOPSはIDEで言うところのEclipseのようなポジションになっていくんだろうな。
詳しくなると色々面白いことが出来そう。
もしかしたら、かけ離れていくWEBデザインナーとプログラマを繋ぐ接点になるかもしれない。
ちょっと過剰な期待かな（ｗ

わたしゃもそう思います。
欲張りすぎると存在理由がなくなってしまうとは思いますが、、
現状ではXOOPSはモジュール単位に様々な機能追加が容易に行えるようですね。
